My sibling wants to join me in the hot shop, but I'm torn on the idea.

On one hand, it could be a fun way to share my passion. On the other, the heat and tools might be too much for a beginner, what's your take?

Man, my little brother tried that once. He lasted about ten minutes before the heat got to him.

Seriously! @morgan_hunt97, that makes me wonder if kids just see us doing tough stuff and copy the action without getting the "why" behind it. They're all about the instant idea, not the long, sweaty follow-through. The heat probably hit him like a wall because he wasn't mentally ready for the grind.

Yeah, that's exactly it. The trick is to break the big thing you're doing into tiny, visible steps for them, like showing them how you pack your water and check the forecast. They only see the cool end result, not the boring prep work. So next time, maybe have him help you get ready for an hour instead of just diving in. It builds up that mental muscle for the boring parts, you know, before the actual fun or hard part even starts. Makes the whole process less of a shock when the heat hits.

Have them help with prep work to gauge interest.
