Cold weather had me waiting forever for sealant to dry
Started using a hairdryer on low to warm the spot first. Now it sets way faster, saves me so much time lmao.

Three winters ago, I finally used a hairdryer on sealant after years of being a human icicle.

That "human icicle" line hits home. I always figured sealant just had to cure on its own, no shortcuts. But hearing about the hairdryer trick made me try it, and now I'm not freezing my hands off every winter. It's one of those simple fixes you kick yourself for not thinking of sooner. Guess common sense isn't so common when you're half frozen.

Totally agree, sometimes you just need that little push to see the obvious solution.

You mentioned it feeling like a "shortcut," but idk if that's quite right. I mean, the heat from a hairdryer is just helping the chemical reaction happen faster. It's not really skipping a step, it's more like giving it the right conditions to work, especially in the cold. Maybe it's just me, but calling it a shortcut makes it sound like a cheat, when it's actually a pretty normal way to get the job done right.
