Just witnessed a coworker vanish from a video call mid-sentence.

It was like he GLITCHED out of existence for a moment.

It's not just bad luck. Companies build things to fail on purpose now. They call it planned obsolescence so you have to buy again. My grandfather's fridge lasted 40 years, but my new one died in five. Why would they make things to last when repeat buyers make more money? Makes you mad, right?

My first car was a 1998 Toyota Corolla. I drove that thing for fifteen years and only had to fix minor stuff. But when I bought a newer model in 2015, it started having electrical issues within two years. It's like they don't build them to handle updates or something, everything is too complicated now. I spent more time at the repair shop than I did with my old car. It just feels like we're paying for things that are designed to be temporary.
