Scored $50 in a park bathroom and everyone thinks I'm lying

Last Tuesday I found a $50 bill taped behind the toilet paper dispenser at Redwood City park restroom. People keep saying it's gross or fake but I bought lunch with it and the cashier took it no problem. Anyone else find cash in weird spots people think are made up?

Yeah exactly, if the cashier took it it's real money. Just keep your mouth shut about where you found it next time, save yourself the hassle.

Oh yeah I found a crumpled $20 under a gas station soda machine once and nobody believed me either. It spent just fine though like yours did, people just get weird about money in dirty places.

That part about people getting weird about money in dirty places is SO true. I actually read somewhere that a lot of old bills have traces of cocaine on them, not even joking. So if anything, that crumpled money from a gas station floor is probably the most normal cash you've ever touched. People just get this idea that money has to look pristine to be real, but the Mint prints thousands of new bills every day and they all end up nasty eventually. Your twenty spent fine because it WAS fine, people just need to relax about a little dirt.
