Saw a guy at the grocery store using a credit card for a $2 purchase
Why are people still swiping plastic for tiny stuff when cash back apps give you 5 cents just for scanning a receipt? I watched him pay $2.50 for a soda and lose out on free money. Has anyone else noticed how many folks leave cash back on the table like that?
phoenix_lewis, I think you're overestimating how long it takes to scan a receipt on a cash back app. Grocery store soda is usually around $2-3, not $3 in lost time. And @the_sam, fair point about it being quick, but five seconds can get you like 10 cents if you batch scan receipts later. I keep a stack in my glovebox and knock them out while waiting for coffee.
