My progesterone dose went from 100mg to 200mg and my anxiety disappeared in 10 days

I was on 100mg for about 8 months and I still had this constant low level panic feeling. My doctor bumped me up to 200mg after I told her I was still waking up at 3am every night. By day 10 I noticed I wasn't clenching my jaw anymore and my sleep score on my watch went from 72 to 88. Has anyone else had a big shift like this from just adjusting a dose?

Man, I'm the poster child for "it's fine until it's not" with these things. I literally stayed 100mg for a year like a dummy and then went to 200mg and my brain finally shut up about 2 weeks later. My anxiety was basically a free tenant in my head and I didn't realize it could be evicted so fast.

@blakestone same for me, 150mg was the sweet spot after months at 75.

That line about your brain "finally shutting up" really hit me. I think a lot of people don't realize the medication itself can change how you judge the effectiveness. Like, I was on 75mg for six months and felt okay, but looking back, my brain was just used to the noise. It was only after bumping up to 150mg and then dropping back down to 100mg that I truly noticed the difference because my brain had a chance to compare silence to the old static. Sometimes you have to overshoot a little to see what "quiet" actually sounds like.
