Saw something weird over the lake near my cabin in Minnesota

I was up at my buddy's cabin on Lake Mille Lacs last weekend around 11 PM and noticed these three bright orange lights hovering low over the water for like 5 minutes straight. They didn't move at all, no sound, then just blinked out one by one. Has anyone else seen stuff like this over lakes or am I just seeing things?

Keep your room pitch black and cool, same time every night. Melatonin helps if you take it an hour before bed, not right when you lie down.
