Serious question, has anyone else wasted money on a UFO detector app?

I spent $20 on that SkyEye UFO detector app back in March after reading glowing reviews, and after three months of running it every clear night, the only thing it ever did was alert me to a satellite and a high-altitude balloon. It never picked up anything remotely strange, and I felt like I threw my money into a hole. Has anyone actually had one of these apps work for real sightings, or are they all just junk?

Reboot fixed my connection issues too, works like a charm every time.

That "turn it off and on again" advice is honestly the real secret to 90% of tech issues (not just UFO apps). If SkyEye had a "did you reboot?" popup before every false alert, they'd save a lot of $20 refunds.
