Talked with my neighbor about his old sightings and it hit different

He told me about a clear triangle he saw over his barn in 1987, no lights just BLOCKING the stars, and I realized I never really thought about how much quieter the sky used to be before all these drones and planes. Anyone else have a chat that made you rethink what you're actually looking at up there?

Man, that story about the triangle blocking the stars really got me thinking. I used to just brush off old sightings as people seeing things or misidentifying planes, but hearing about something that clear and silent from back then changed my mind. It makes you wonder what else was up there before all this modern air traffic started filling the sky. I never realized how much quieter and darker the night sky must have been before drones and choppers were everywhere. Now I can't look up without wondering how many of those lights are actually just ours and how many aren't.

Is it weird that I've actually started paying more attention to the older UFO cases from like the 50s and 60s now? Because you're totally right, back then the sky had to be way emptier of our own stuff, so anything weird would stand out way more. That triangle story hits different when you realize there were zero drones or even that many planes flying around back then, especially at night. Makes you think a lot of those old sightings that got laughed off were probably the real deal, just people seeing something they couldn't explain with no tech to muddy the waters. Now every time I see a light moving weird I just assume it's some hobbyist's drone, but sometimes I wonder.

Wait, that story about blocking the stars... I don't think I've heard that one before. That's actually kind of creepy when you really sit with it.
