Tried to film a weird light over I-94 but my phone died right as it started moving
I was parked at a rest stop near Battle Creek around 2 AM last Tuesday when I saw this orange orb just hovering way too low. I fumbled for my phone and it was at 2% battery, then it shut off the second I hit record. Has anyone else had a clear sighting ruined by bad timing or dead gear?

Honestly I saw something similar on a Michigan UFO hunters Facebook group last week. A guy from Kalamazoo posted about a orange light hovering near the highway around 1 AM that looked just like what you described. He said his dashcam caught it but the footage was all blurry because of fogged up windows. Seems like everyone has that bad luck with electronics at the worst possible moment.

Bet that guy from Kalamazoo is still kicking himself for not wiping his windows off before heading out. It's like these things know exactly when we're not ready, popping up at 1 AM when most folks have their cameras in the glove box or their phones on 5% battery. Makes you wonder if there's some kind of interference messing with our tech on purpose, doesn't it?

Man, it's like the universe has a personal vendetta against us ufologists. My phone battery always dies right when I see something weird too, it's like my phone knows I'm about to witness the real deal and just gives up.
