I finally realized I was tying my shoes wrong for 16 years
So last week I was at the park tying my laces and my buddy just stares at me and goes "dude you do the bunny ears thing?" Turns out I been doing the weak knot this whole time where the loops go the wrong way and they come undone every 20 minutes. He showed me the "around the tree" method and my shoes haven't come undone once since then. Anyone else have that moment where you find out you've been doing some basic thing wrong your whole life?
@lily_torres31 you might be onto something there actually. Fork thing is real. I saw a video about how Americans hold forks like shovels compared to Europeans and now I can't unsee it. The shoe thing though - that one got me good. 16 years of retying laces at stoplights and standing in doorways. Felt pretty dumb when my buddy showed me the right way in about 5 seconds.
The lace thing hit me hard too. @lily_torres31 showed me that bunny ears method and I swear it changed my life. My laces actually stay tied now instead of coming loose after 20 minutes. Took me like 30 years to figure that out.
