That $40 lost letter service I found online was a complete scam
Paid $40 to a website that claimed to find and return lost mail from years ago, including a letter I wrote to my dad before he passed. They took my money, sent a generic tracking number, and ghosted me has anyone else fallen for these 'mail recovery' sites?

Got burned by stuff like this before too... it's everywhere now, not just these mail recovery sites. Seems like everything online is trying to grab your money for some quick fix or service that doesn't really work. I've noticed how easy it is to get pulled into these things when you're desperate or hoping for a miracle, like finding that letter you mentioned. The whole internet feels like a giant slot machine sometimes, where most of the stuff is just there to take your cash and give you nothing real back. It's a shame because it makes it hard to trust even the legitimate services out there.

Yeah river952, I once paid a fortune teller twenty bucks just to tell me I'd "meet a tall stranger" at the gas station.
