Shot $150 on a 'vintage' dress from an Etsy shop in Ohio that turned out to be a Shein costume with the tags cut out.
The seller swore it was from the 90s but the fabric felt like a shower curtain and the zipper broke on the first pull. Anyone else get burned by one of those 'thrift flip' scams?

Oh wow, that dress sounds like a total win for the planet though since it kept cheap polyester out of a landfill for a few extra years.

Remember @lewis.mila, polyester doesn't really break down in landfills so it's not saving much by sitting there longer.

A polyester dress sitting in a landfill for 80 years is still a problem, @lewis.mila, not a solution. Those fibers shed microplastics into the soil and water the whole time they're breaking down. Keeping it in use just delays the inevitable pollution, doesn't fix it.
