After years of bad shadows, my DIY LED strip install has transformed my home butchery.

Finally being able to see every muscle group clearly is a game-changer.

Did you run into any issues with adhesive failure on the strips over time? I ended up using aluminum channels with mounting clips because the heat from the LEDs kept loosening the tape... totally worth the extra step. Another thing that helped was staggering two rows of strips slightly offset, it kills those last stubborn shadows. Just make sure your power supply has enough overhead so the lights don't dim when everything is on.

Consider aluminum channels for heat dissipation (saves the adhesive) and staggered rows for flawless, shadow-free coverage.

Absolutely! Position lights directly above your cutting zone.

Your 'directly above' tip changed my whole setup.

Prefer keeping my setup simple with just one centered row.

Back in my tiny kitchen, proper lighting turned my hesitant cuts into confident butchery. It feels like part of a larger shift where we're all investing in tools that make forgotten skills accessible again.
