Nah, "by accident" never works out for me. My luck is more like digging through a messy garage on purpose and still only finding broken Christmas lights and old paint cans. It's all just planned disappointment over here.

My basement cleanup last spring showed me exactly what you mean. I spent a whole weekend digging through boxes, convinced I'd find some hidden gem. The grand prize was a mildewed tent from 2005 and a single roller skate. I actually tripped over a stack of them and just uncovered more old utility bills. Last summer I was hiking near Lake Tahoe and kicked over what I thought was a weird rock. It was just a chunk of concrete with some rebar sticking out, probably from an old fire pit someone tried to bury. My one cool accidental find was literally trash. Figures.
