I finally found out that 80% of small biz loans get rejected in the first round
I was reading the SBA's own data from last year and saw that stat... it kind of blew my mind because everyone talks about getting funded like it's normal. Are we just not preparing our applications right, or is the system actually stacked against us?
My own application got rejected so fast I swear the SBA sent me a "return to sender" stamp instead of a denial letter. I spent three weeks perfecting my revenue projections and then realized I'd put the wrong zip code on the form. Honestly I think 80% of us are just winging it with spreadsheets built on hope and good intentions.
