My cat hissed at me for eating a salad instead of chicken for dinner
So my friend Sarah told me I should start eating healthier, like more greens and less meat. I tried it out last Tuesday with a big spinach salad, and my cat Jasper literally sat on the kitchen counter and hissed at me while I was chewing. He kept staring at my plate and then looking at me like I betrayed him. Which side is right here - should I listen to my friend who wants me to eat better, or my cat who clearly thinks I'm an idiot for skipping the protein? Has anyone else had a pet judge their food choices this hard?

Oh man, "he kept staring at my plate and then looking at me like I betrayed him" hits way too close to home. My dog does the same thing whenever I try to eat a vegetable, it's like I'm personally offending their entire existence. Solidarity with you and Jasper, honestly I think the cat might have a point about the protein though.

Hissed at you? Ngl that's pretty funny, Jasper's got some definite opinions on your dinner choices. Honestly I'd take the cat's side here, at least he's loyal to what he believes in.
