Decorating my bedroom like a reality show contestant was a hilarious mistake
I bought all the flashy stuff they use on TV. Now I can't even find my bed under all the glitter.

Absolutely, those picture-perfect setups never hold up. A pal of mine went overboard with string lights and now they're always tangled. She constantly fights dust on all the small stuff. It turned her cozy spot into a full-time job. I guess some trends are best admired from afar. Real life is messy enough without adding more.

Wow, I did the same thing with my living room last year! I saw all those shiny decor items on a competition show and bought everything. It looked amazing for about five minutes until the fake plants started shedding and the neon signs buzzed all night. I had so many throw pillows that I couldn't even sit on the couch. Cleaning up all that glitter and confetti was a nightmare that lasted weeks. Now I just keep it simple with a few cozy things that actually make sense. Lesson learned the hard way!
