Got 40 downvotes for saying pineapple belongs on pizza and I stand by it

It happened in a food group on here last Tuesday. I posted a picture of my homemade Hawaiian pizza with fresh pineapple and crispy bacon. Within an hour I had 40 downvotes and people telling me I ruined dinner. I ate that whole pizza by myself and it was amazing. Anyone else get slammed for a food opinion you won't change on?

Forty downvotes for some bacon and pineapple, really? Guess I missed the memo where pizza toppings became a holy war. Sounds like you won the battle and the dinner though, so I'd call that a win.

I mean... are we really out here acting like 40 downvotes is a big deal on a pizza opinion? It's just a food preference, not like you said the sky is green.

Haha yeah, I've gotten roasted for liking pineapple on pizza so I guess I'm way past caring about downvotes.
