That viral photo of the "giant python" in Florida turned out to be a garden hose with a filter

I saw this picture floating around on Facebook yesterday, claimed it was a 30 foot snake found near Miami. Looked real enough at first but then I noticed the scale was off compared to the guy standing next to it. Someone in the comments zoomed in and proved it was just a rubber hose with a green filter on the end. Has anyone else spotted crazy fakes like this that got shared thousands of times?

@jana881 my buddy in Tampa showed me a picture of what he swore was a 10 foot rattlesnake in his backyard, turned out to be a thick garden hose covered in mud that he'd stepped on. He still won't admit he was wrong.

That's exactly how people are though. They see what they want to see and will die on that hill no matter what proof you show them. It's like when someone insists their dog is "part wolf" or whatever when it's clearly just a husky mix.
