Just realized The Lion King is basically Hamlet with fur

I was watching Hamlet in English class last week and caught the exact same plot beats - murdered king, scheming uncle, exiled prince who comes back for revenge. Disney changed the ending but the skeleton is identical. Anyone else notice this or am I reaching?

Bro when my teacher pointed out the ghost scene in Lion King I literally gasped. It's been right there the whole time and I never saw it. I remember stumbling onto that during a late night Disney binge and texted my sister like "yo Simba is literally Hamlet.
