Rant: That mural by the old train station has a hidden message nobody's talking about
I was talking to my buddy Dave who works for the city last week, and he told me the city council quietly approved that mural back in March 2023 as a cover for a drainage issue. The artist layered those blue lines on purpose to mark where the pipes run underground. Has anyone else noticed the paint is already peeling in that exact spot near the bottom right corner?

Wait, you're telling me the city knew about a drainage problem and decided to cover it up with artwork instead of just fixing it? That is honestly wild. I walked past that mural last weekend and noticed the peeling paint, but I just figured it was cheap materials or the weather getting to it. If what Dave said is true, that means the whole thing is gonna fall apart eventually and expose whatever mess is underneath. How do we even know the artist was in on it and didn't just get duped into painting over a broken pipe?

Classic city move, slap a bandaid on a broken pipe.

The_parker you're so right about the peeling paint being a clue lol. Reminds me of when my old landlord tried to fix a massive hole in our ceiling with spackle and a calendar. Classic "just make it look okay for a bit" energy. It's crazy how often people get roped into art projects or repairs that are just hiding real problems underneath. At this rate the whole mural is gonna be a cautionary tale in a few months when it rains hard enough lmao.
