Shoutout to the $3 aluminum foil fix for my cheap TV antenna
So my $15 indoor antenna from Target kept cutting out during football games. I read online about wrapping the cable in foil to block interference. Tried it with a sheet from my kitchen and it actually boosted signal by like 20% lol. Now I can watch the whole game without flipping out every 5 minutes. Has anyone else found weird hacks like this for cheap antennas?

and honestly that makes so much sense because I tried the whole aluminum foil thing on my roku stick once when the signal kept dropping and it actually worked better than I thought. like the foil basically acts as a little shield for the signal, I guess? but the weirdest hack I ever found was putting my antenna on top of a metal cookie sheet, that boosted the signal way more than the foil did for some reason. now I just leave the cookie sheet up there and my wife thinks I'm crazy but the football game comes in clear so who cares.

You put a cookie sheet on your antenna and it actually worked better than foil? That's insane but I'm honestly impressed your wife hasn't thrown it out yet.

the foil basically acts as a little shield" - yeah I always thought that was total bro science but you just changed my mind. I used to roll my eyes at people putting foil on anything tech related, but if a cookie sheet can actually pull in football games then I guess I've been wrong this whole time haha.
