That $20 Bluetooth speaker I bought on clearance actually sounds decent

Picked up a no-name speaker at the grocery store checkout for $18 last Tuesday. Figured it would crackle and die in a week like the last cheap one did. But I've been using it daily in the garage while working on my truck and it's held up fine for 3 weeks now. The bass is weak but the vocals come through clear enough. Has anyone else found a random cheap tech item that actually worked way better than expected?

Picked up a $15 Bluetooth speaker at a discount store two years ago just for the shower. Figured it'd quit after a month but it's still going. Battery life is pretty bad now but for the price it's done its job. Nice when something cheap actually earns its keep.

Man, don't you love it when the universe throws you a bone like that? I grabbed a $10 pair of earbuds from a gas station once, fully expecting them to sound like a tin can full of bees. They actually worked great for about six months until my dog chewed one... guess I should've bought two. Goes to show you that sometimes the cheapest junk is built by accident, not on purpose.

Man, that's the truth. I had a pair of $8 earbuds from a random gas station in Oklahoma that lasted me through two years of working construction. Sweat, dust, got stepped on, everything. They finally gave up when I accidentally ran them through the washing machine. Meanwhile my buddy spent $150 on some name brand ones and they cracked in his pocket after a month. It's like some cheap stuff just gets built tough by mistake.

I've had cheap stuff die just from looking at it wrong, so yours surviving two years of construction is basically a miracle. Must have been built by some overworked factory worker who actually gave a damn that day.
