Finally stopped ignoring dark mode after my eyes hurt for 3 months straight
I used to think dark mode was just a gimmick for people who wanted to look cool, but after my phone screen gave me headaches every night for 3 months I finally switched and now I can actually read in bed without wanting to throw my phone across the room, has anyone else found a weird setting that actually saved their sanity?

Dark mode is the tip of the iceberg though. I noticed once I started paying attention to small things like that, I started noticing all these little defaults in life that suck but nobody questions. Like why do phone screens come with blue light at max brightness out of the box? Why do chairs at work make your back hurt after an hour? It feels like we're all just putting up with stuff that could easily be fixed with one setting change or a cheap pillow lol.

@gavin365 you got a point but actually phone screens are set to max brightness out of the box because stores need them visible under bright lights. That default brightness is meant for showrooms not your bedroom at midnight. Chairs though yeah those are just cheaply made and nobody wants to spend the money on good ones.

@lewis.mila I read phone screens are calibrated for retail shelves not real life. @gavin365 hits it.
