My Ring doorbell caught my neighbor stealing my packages last Tuesday

I set up a Ring camera three months ago after stuff kept disappearing from my porch. Last Tuesday it caught my neighbor from two doors down grabbing my Amazon box at 2 AM. Anyone else have your own smart home tech make you paranoid about the people around you?

Hate that for you, man... it's rough realizing someone you see every day is the one doing it. Got me double checking all my own neighbors now too, makes you wonder who you can trust.

That whole trust thing really gets turned upside down in situations like this. You start looking at everyone sideways, even the people you've known for years. It's like once that seed of doubt gets planted, it just grows and you can't stop it. I remember reading about a case where the guy was the neighborhood watch captain, the one everyone trusted to keep an eye on things. Makes you realize how easy it is for someone to hide in plain sight when they know the routine. It's a messed up feeling to have, but better to be a little paranoid than blindsided again, I guess.

The neighborhood watch captain being the thief? That's some twisted plot twist I wasn't ready for today. Really makes you question everyone you wave hello to in the morning.
