Realized my smart speaker was listening to me bargain with myself out loud

The other day I caught my Alexa suggesting a pizza place right after I muttered "man I could go for a pizza" while staring at my fridge. It wasn't a command, just me talking to myself. That thing hears way more than I thought. Has anyone else noticed their smart speaker picking up on random mutterings and offering suggestions?

Boy, I know exactly what you mean! My phone did something similar after a rough day at work - I grumbled about my boss and suddenly Spotify started playing "Somebody That I Used to Know." Then it went into "Since U Been Gone" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." It was like the thing was trying to cheer me up by assuming I got dumped. I had to turn it off and just sit in silence for a minute.
