PSA: My partner stopped doing dishes after we moved in together and it took 4 months to snap

I dated this guy for 2 years and he always helped clean his place, even scrubbed pans by hand. Then we got a 1-bedroom in Austin last June and suddenly he couldn't find the sink. Why do people change so hard once they share a space?

Wait, people actually forget basic stuff after moving in together? Like how to squeeze the toothpaste from the bottom or which way the toilet paper roll goes? My jaw is literally on the floor right now, I thought that stuff was hardwired into our brains by age 12 or something.

Man, it's like people just get comfortable and forget they're part of a team. Same thing happens with everything else - once the new wears off, they stop putting in the effort.
