The fancy date who only talked about his meal prep containers

I went on three dates with a guy who seemed fine until dinner number three. He spent 20 minutes explaining the exact brand of glass containers he uses for Sunday meal prep and got annoyed when I asked if we could talk about literally anything else. Then he said my habit of using random Tupperware from takeout places was 'chaotic energy he couldn't commit to.' Has anyone else been dumped over kitchen organization preferences?

He was way out of line getting annoyed at you, but honestly plastic takeout containers are pretty crappy for reheating food so I get where he was coming from on that one thing. You probably dodged a bullet though if he's that rigid about it.

Plastic takeout containers do a fine job reheating if you use low power and leave the lid cracked. Getting bent out of shape about it on a third date is the real problem.

Yeah, jadej50 is right that the plastic thing has some truth, but getting annoyed over it and calling your habits "chaotic energy" is just way too much for a third date. That's a huge red flag about how controlling he'd be about other stuff down the line. You're probably better off finding someone who doesn't judge your takeout container collection.
