Am I the only one who got called 'selfish' for turning down a 2am sky watch in Tucson?
Back in March my neighbor Rick knocked on my door at 2am asking me to drive out to Gates Pass because he swore he saw three lights blinking in a triangle pattern, and when I said I had work at 6 he told me I was 'selfish with the truth' and hasn't spoken to me since, so now I'm wondering if I should've just gone.
Why do these sky people always pick the worst times? My old roommate did the same thing, shook me awake at 3am because he saw a "craft" over the desert and wanted me to drive him out past Ajo. I had a shift at 7 and told him no, and he gave me this whole speech about how I was "blocking the truth." Then the next week he did the same thing to our other buddy and the guy actually went. Guess what they saw? A drone. That's it. Just a drone. So yeah, you did nothing wrong. Rick can watch the sky by himself at 2am.
