Blew $80 on a UFO detector app that was total junk

I got hyped up by an online ad and paid $80 for a 'professional' UFO detector app. It claimed to use magnetic field sensors and radar to track anomalies in real time. After three weeks of it alerting me to every passing airplane and my neighbor's wifi router, I realized it was just a scam with fake data. Has anyone else wasted money on these bogus alien hunting gadgets?

Man, I had a buddy back in high school who swore up and down his dad's old CB radio could pick up alien transmissions. We'd sit in his garage at like 2 AM twisting the dial and he'd get all excited every time he heard static or a trucker talking about a wreck on I-35. He even bought a special antenna off eBay for like 60 bucks that was supposed to boost the signal. It just made the static louder and picked up more truckers.

Haha yeah man that's how it always goes. People get so convinced they're onto something secret and it's just normal noise amplified a little louder. It's like how every weird creak in your house at 2 AM has to be a ghost but it's just the pipes settling or a raccoon.

Three weeks of it alerting me to every passing airplane" pretty much sums it up. That's just bad software, not aliens.
