Drove out to Area 51 last week and saw something that still bugs me

I went out to the Rachel Nevada area on a road trip and pulled over near the back gate to take some photos. Around dusk I saw this light just hovering over the mountains that didn't move for like 20 minutes then shot straight up and vanished. Has anyone else seen weird stationary lights out there or am I just seeing things?

Heard Bob Lazar describing similar lights years ago on a radio show.

Hold on @irisowens, I gotta push back a little on that. I've listened to a lot of Lazar's stuff over the years and I just don't buy the whole story he tells. The way he talks about those lights and the element 115 thing feels more like a sci-fi plot than real evidence to me. I know a lot of people swear by him, but I see those lights as something natural or maybe secret military tech, not alien. He's always changing his details too, which makes it hard to trust. Not saying you're wrong to think it's connected, just that I think we're looking at different things altogether.

Yeah exactly, @phoenix_bailey. Those details Lazar keeps tweaking over the years are a big red flag to me too. If someone's story was solid from the start, they wouldn't need to keep adjusting it every time they talk. That kind of shifting makes it look like he's making it up as he goes along, not revealing some hidden truth.
