Honestly, I had to choose between calling the news or just telling my brother about the light I saw

Tbh, it was this orange orb hovering over the cornfield behind my house in Lincoln, Nebraska, for about ten minutes last Tuesday. I picked telling my brother because I figured the local news would just laugh. He drove over and saw it too before it shot straight up and vanished. Has anyone else seen something like that around here and kept it quiet?

Dude yes! I saw something super similar back in early July out by the Platte River. Orange orb, dead silent, just hung there for a solid 15 minutes before it zipped off faster than anything I've ever seen. I only told my buddy who lives down the road and he thought I was messing with him until I showed him the video on my phone. Glad I'm not the only one who kept it to a small circle instead of dealing with the ridicule. And oh man @hugos46, your Kearney sighting lines up perfectly with the timeline I've been piecing together from a few other folks I've talked to since then. Honestly it's wild how many people have seen this exact thing but don't say anything because they don't want to sound crazy.

Kinda wish you had called the news, honestly. More reports like yours and @hugos46's might make people take it seriously. Keeping quiet just means they can keep saying we're all making it up.
