Lost 2 hours in the Arizona desert trying to film a light that turned out to be a drone
Drove 40 minutes outside Sedona at 11pm to get a clear shot of this thing blinking in the sky and my buddy finally checked a flight tracker app. It was a hobby drone from some guy's backyard. How do you all tell the difference before wasting a whole night on it?

Sounds like a rough night but honestly a drone in the sky at 11pm is pretty normal these days. Most of those blinking lights people chase turn out to be planes, drones, or satellites anyway. Maybe check a flight tracker before driving 40 minutes out into the desert next time.
