My backyard EMF meter picked up a signal I still can't explain
I borrowed a cheap EMF meter from a friend in Tucson and walked my yard at 2am after seeing a bright orange light hover over my fence. The meter spiked to 4.7 milligauss right where the light had been, but my neighbor's dog was barking nonstop and the readings dropped to zero after 40 seconds. I've repeated the walk 6 times since, same spot, nothing. Has anyone else caught a weird spike right after a sighting, or did I just hit some buried power line?

That 4.7 milligauss reading is about ten times what you'd see from a typical household appliance, so it's not nothing, but the fact it dropped to zero after 40 seconds and never came back tells me it wasn't a power line. Buried lines don't switch off. More likely you caught a brief surge from something mundane like a neighbor's garage door opener or a faulty streetlight transformer that happened to fix itself. The orange light was probably a drone with a bright LED, and the dog was barking at it, not at your invisible energy field. If you want to test it properly, walk the same spot with your phone's compass app and see if it goes haywire, because that cheap meter will pick up your own body's static charge if you're wearing synthetic clothes.
