My cousin keeps calling every weird light a 'drone' and it's driving me nuts
He saw three orange lights moving in a triangle over Lake Michigan last summer and instantly said 'military drones'. I looked it up, and the FAA had zero flight logs for that area at that time. He does this every single time, even with objects that change direction instantly. It matters because dismissing everything as drones stops us from looking at the actual weird cases. Has anyone else had to deal with a friend who explains away every single sighting?

My cousin does the same thing with every satellite flare or planet he sees at night. Last month he called Venus a drone because it was "too bright and not moving right." I get wanting to find normal answers, but sometimes a light is just a light. It feels like we're all so jumpy now that we forget how many normal things are already up there.

Wait, he called Venus a DRONE? That's wild. My uncle does this with Starlink trains, swears they're too organized for satellites. But a planet? That's next level. People see weird stuff, sure, but we gotta keep some grip on reality.

Ever have a buddy who does this? My friend swore a silent black triangle was just a stealth blimp, but the flight patterns made no sense. It's frustrating when people shut down the conversation before it even starts.
