My dad's old Super 8 camera footage of a light over Tucson beats every phone clip I've seen
Back around 1997 my dad filmed about 4 minutes of a slow moving light over the desert outside Tucson with his Super 8, and even with the grain you can see it change direction twice. I've watched maybe 30 phone videos of similar stuff since then and most are just shaky dots where you can't tell a drone from a star. Something about film forced people to keep the camera steady and actually wait. Has anyone else noticed older footage tends to hold up better than the new stuff?
How did your dad manage to keep it so steady for 4 minutes? That's a real skill with those old cameras. Sorry you've been wading through all the junk clips since, that sounds frustrating when you know what good footage looks like.
