Saw a strange light over Lake Michigan three years ago and still can't explain it
I was fishing off the pier in St. Joseph, Michigan around 11pm when I saw a bright orange orb drift silently across the water, stop suddenly, then zip straight up into the clouds. Has anyone else seen something similar near the Great Lakes that didn't match any known aircraft?

Wait, isn't it weird how the things we can't explain always seem to happen when we're alone or late at night? I've noticed that pattern - the strange stuff never shows up when there's a crowd around or a camera ready to catch it. Makes you wonder how many everyday mysteries are just sitting there waiting for the right moment to surprise us.

Honestly that's a really specific description. Ngl the way it stopped moving then shot straight up is what gets me, most drones or planes don't pull that kind of maneuver. Tbh there's a lot of military activity around the Great Lakes, especially with the Navy testing stuff in Lake Michigan back in the day. Maybe it was some kind of classified tech that never made the news.

Take a closer look at how the thing moved. It didn't just float or hover like a balloon or a drone really does, it moved like it was fighting against gravity. Tbh that kind of stop and go motion is more in line with some experimental propulsion stuff I've read about, not your average UFO story.
