Shoutout to the $29 skywatch app I paid for after seeing a light over Tucson
Six months ago I saw a slow orange light over the Catalina foothills around 9pm and got so freaked out I bought a $29 app that claims to track satellites and planes in real time. I used it one night to check that light, it showed nothing, and that was it. I forgot to cancel the trial and the renewal hit me two more times before I noticed, so that's $87 gone for about 10 minutes of me squinting at my phone. The light itself still bugs me, but I can't say the app told me a single useful thing. It just guessed at flight paths and showed me a bunch of dots I couldn't match to anything. Has anyone here found a tracker that does a real job on stuff you actually see, or is it all guesswork like this one?
