Staring at the same crop circles for 20 years before I noticed the obvious

I was walking through that same wheat field near Sedona last fall and it finally hit me that those perfect patterns I'd been photographing since 2004 actually match the neighbor's irrigation grid almost exactly, how did I miss that for so long?

Used to be a hardcore believer in the alien theory. That's a pretty solid reality check though, kinda kills the mystery vibe.

Oh man, @shanef34 I went through the exact same thing. I used to watch all those Ancient Aliens episodes and was totally convinced we were being visited. But then I started looking into the actual engineering behind things like the pyramids, and it's wild how much we underestimate ancient people. Kind of a bummer at first but honestly it's almost cooler to realize humans were that clever on their own.

Yeah same here actually. Used to love the mystery of it all but now I just see old farming techniques and feel kind of silly for not noticing sooner.
