Strange lights over the desert in New Mexico last month

I was out near Roswell around 2 AM on October 15th and saw a cluster of orange lights hovering silently for about 5 minutes. No sound, no blinking, just floated then shot off faster than anything I've ever seen. Has anyone else caught weird activity out that way or just me?

Man that is WILD. I've heard stories about those orange orbs from people out west for YEARS now, but it always hits different when someone actually sees them up close like that. The fact that they made ZERO sound is what gets me every time - military stuff always has SOME kind of noise, even from far away. You're definitely not alone on this one, I've read multiple accounts from folks around White Sands and even up near Taos seeing almost the exact same thing. The way you described them shooting off is the part that REALLY creeps me out though. Keep your eyes to the sky out there friend, something weird is definitely going on.

The orbs really do sound like they're messing with physics, right? I can barely get my car to start in the winter without it making some grinding noise, so something moving that fast and silent makes me wonder if I should just give up on modern machinery altogether. Maybe it's just me but those "weird stuff definitely going on" vibes are the only thing that makes camping trips out west actually interesting.
