That guy at the gas station who changed my mind about aliens

I used to think anyone into aliens was a little off, you know? But last August I was filling up at a Shell in Boise around 11 PM and this older guy in a cowboy hat starts talking to me. He said he saw a triangular craft hover over his ranch for 45 seconds back in 1998 and it made no sound at all. He described the lights on the corners, red and orange ones that pulsed slowly. What got me was he didn't try to sell me anything or push a theory, he just told it like a fact and went on his way. Now I can't stop wondering if there's something to the whole UFO thing.

my friend jess had this happen to her too, at a rest stop in nevada like 10 years ago. she said this guy in a beat-up toyota truck came up and just pointed at the sky and said "you see that too, right?" and there was this faint orange light that just hung there, no blinking or movement. she said the weirdest part was the absolute silence, like all the bugs and wind just stopped while it was there. she still gets kind of spooked if she drives through that area alone at night.

I keep coming back to the 45 seconds part. That feels like an oddly specific amount of time, not like something you'd make up on the spot for a story. Did he mention anything about how close the craft was or what the air felt like during that time? A desert night with no wind, maybe the temperature dropping a few degrees? That detail about the pulsing lights in red and orange makes me wonder if it moved at all while hovering, or just hung there dead quiet.
