Tried to crop circle my neighbor's lawn as a joke and the cows started following me in a perfect spiral

Last Saturday I snuck out with a string and some stakes to make a fake alien pattern in the field behind my place, but the herd of cows there just lined up behind me in the same circle shape and won't stop doing it every morning now - has anyone else had farm animals act suspiciously coordinated after a prank?

Wait, are you saying you actually saw something real out there? That changes things quite a bit. I need to hear the whole story now.
