Vent: Fixing my shed roof and spotting a silent, glowing oval

I was up there patching holes before dark last night. This bright, silent oval zipped past, way too fast for any plane. It hovered for a second then vanished straight up. Now I tell everyone working outside to really look up sometimes. What you dismiss as a star might not be one.

Wait, straight up? Like it just shot up into the sky without a sound? That's the part that gets me. I mean, anything normal has to push against the air or something, right? That just feels off in a way I can't really explain. Makes you wonder what's really going on up there.

Right, the silent part is what gets me too. If it was a rocket or a jet, you'd hear something, even from far away. The fact that it's completely quiet while moving that fast breaks the normal rules of physics we're used to. Makes you wonder what kind of tech doesn't need to push against the air at all.

Have you written down the exact time and place? I've seen this stuff before. Get your phone out quick to film it, even a shaky video helps. Check flight apps later for any weird stuff in your area. Silent objects moving that fast are not regular planes. Keep a log of what you see and when it happens.
