Weird lights over the lake near Sedona 3 nights in a row

I was camping at Oak Creek Canyon outside Sedona last week and saw these orange glowing orbs moving in a grid pattern over the water around midnight. They didn't make any sound and just vanished one by one after about 10 minutes. Has anyone else seen something similar near that area or is there some military base nearby that flies drones at night?

Dang, that grid pattern and the silent vanishing act is exactly the kind of detail that makes it feel real and not just a random drone... I've heard a few other folks mention the same orange orbs over that area on different nights, and it's always the same eerie lack of sound. Makes me think there's something consistent going on out there, and you're definitely not alone in seeing it.

Girl YES thank you for posting this. I was camped up on the Mogollon Rim just north of there last month and saw the exact same orange orbs moving in a grid pattern over the valley floor. Dead quiet, no sound at all, and they just winked out one by one after maybe 15 minutes. I've been to Sedona tons of times and never seen anything like it before or since. Whatever those things were, they weren't normal drones.

Next time keep a log of how many you see and the exact time they disappear. I started doing that after my third sighting and realized they follow the same pattern every time.
