Why does nobody talk about using a car antenna to pick up weird signals?
I tried pointing my old FM antenna at the sky during a meteor shower last August and caught this repeating low hum that wasn't on any station, and I'm wondering if anyone else has tried something similar with regular radio gear.

Point that antenna at a specific frequency or just scanning around?

Hey @nelson.vera, have you noticed how most people just scan through life hoping something interesting pops up? I tend to lock onto a specific frequency once I know what I'm after, otherwise you're just listening to a whole lot of static. In my experience, if you don't have a clear target you end up wasting time on a bunch of stuff that doesn't matter. Your mileage may vary, but I've found that picking one signal and sticking with it usually reveals the clearest picture.
