Finally got through an entire anime discussion thread without someone spoiling the ending

Took me three tries over the last two weeks in the Attack on Titan subreddit. First time someone posted a manga panel from the final chapter in the comments. Second time a mod took 8 hours to delete a spoiler in a thread marked 'no spoilers'. Third time I actually finished the thread and nobody ruined anything. Felt like winning a lottery nobody talks about. Anyone else feel like spoiler tags are more of a suggestion than a rule these days?

I've been watching the AoT subreddit for years and I swear the mods are asleep half the time. I had a thread about season 3 part 2 that got a literal manga ending spoiler in the comments within 20 minutes of posting. The person who posted it had been on the sub for 4 years with thousands of karma. No ban, just a removed comment 12 hours later. My trick now is to screenshot entire threads as I read them on mobile before I scroll too far down. That way if something gets spoiled I can at least pretend I didn't see it and come back later.

Man people just don't care about ruining stuff for others anymore, it's like common courtesy disappeared everywhere.

My bad for forgetting to tag a spoiler last week, oops.
