Finally realized I was pausing anime wrong the whole time

I used to hit pause during any scene and it killed the mood. Took me 3 episodes of Attack on Titan before my friend pointed out I should only pause at natural breaks like recaps or credit rolls. Has anyone else had a dumb habits revelation like this?

Changed my mind completely honestly. Used to just slam pause wherever and wondered why rewatches felt so choppy.
