My buddy Chris was in a One Piece server for two years. He just left last week because the 20th "who wins" thread in a row finally made him log off for good.

God, it's the worst when those threads take over a whole community. I've seen powerscaling talk spread from anime servers to even the most chill fan art channels somehow. It just kills any real talk about characters or the actual story. After a while you're not even in a fan group anymore, just a never ending versus forum. No wonder he left.

Feel the same way about those endless fights. They drain all the fun out of just liking a show. Makes you want to step back for a while.
