PSA: My whole watch list on AniList just vanished last night

I was adding a show around 9 PM when the site went down for a minute, and when it came back, my list was just gone. I had about 87 shows marked across my plan to watch and watching lists. Has anyone else had this happen and know a good way to get it back?

Man that's brutal, losing 87 shows in one go. I've had lists get a little messed up after site crashes but never a full wipe. You should check if AniList has a backup feature or data recovery option in your account settings. Sometimes sites keep a hidden backup for a day or two after a crash. If that's a dead end, hitting up their support directly is your best bet, they might be able to restore it from their server logs. Really hope you can get it back, rebuilding a list that big from memory is a nightmare.

Exporting like @owens.anthony said saved my 200 show list last year.

Check their export feature first, it saved me once. You can download your whole list as a file, then just reupload it if things go wrong again. Honestly, for a list that big, I'd make a habit of doing that every few months just in case.
